While people distant and far-reaching like to impute to Vancouver as Raincouver, some days a name proves a worth. That day was yesterday.


As a city braced for a mini-pineapple express, Twitter and Instagram users took a event to hashtag #Raincouver. And yeah: it was really raining. Hard.


There was a calm before a storm:


And even some beauty during a storm:



Because when we live in Vancouver, we have to get used to this kind of thing.



But it wasn’t all pretty..


..And it positively wasn’t activity-friendly.



It was on windows:


And roads:


And sidewalks:


And ultimately, even in a many horrible downpour, it was home.
